CAT Tools for Freelance Translators

This Tuesday 5th April, Kari Koonin MITI MCIL is giving us her take on CAT tools, and specifically, how freelance translators can best apply them to their practice.

Kari is a very experienced Dutch, German and Afrikaans to English translator. A full-time freelance translator since 1992, she has been involved in a range of specialised translation and revision projects for agencies and corporate clients across Europe, including the European Parliament and the European Union. Prior to establishing her freelance practice, she gained over a decade of professional experience in in-house translation departments and language-related roles for companies such as Voest-Alpine AG, PolyGram, Siemens and Deutsche Bank, living in countries as diverse as Austria, the Netherlands, South Africa and the UK.

Kari works almost exclusively with translation software, and is an experienced Trados and MultiTerm user. She has also worked with SDLX, Star Transit and MemoQ, and is therefore well placed to share her experience with us.

This is an ITI webinar that the eCPD team are looking forward to facilitating. For more details and to register, see the event information.
